Dr. Callery joined the Stillwater Veterinary Clinic in September 2025. Mary was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, and doctorate of veterinary medicine from the U of M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Callery has practiced in a variety of areas, including small animal general clinical practice, municipal government shelters, private non-profit shelters, and as a veterinary technology educator and administrator. 

Mary has two children and is currently "between pets," but has owned and loved a number of dogs of various breeds over her lifetime, and has had the pleasure of living with cat-owning roommates from time to time as well. Dr. Callery's veterinary interests include high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter (HQHVSN) thanks to her training and experience in shelter medicine, and her favorite aspect of clinical practice is getting to know the entire family who supports each of her patients (that's YOU!) and helping folks understand and manage simple to complex issues that affect their furry loved ones. In her spare time she enjoys playing soccer, hiking, biking, paddleboarding, singing with a variety of local choirs, dancing, cooking, reading, and spending as much of her time outdoors as possible.
