I always loved the natural world and had an extreme appreciation for how deep some human/animal bonds can be. After college I was torn between teaching and a career in veterinary medicine. I decided to pursue teaching and was fortunate to achieve a faculty position at the University of St. Thomas teaching biochemistry. While working with college students was rewarding, I still yearned to work with animals. Eventually I decided to take my own advice when advising undergraduate students and follow my passion into veterinary medicine. I graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and have since been working as a general practitioner. My special interests include preventive care, internal medicine, and dentistry. I spend most of my free time with my husband (Greg), two adult children (Brian and Bethany), and two Lab mixes (Hondo and Fabian). We enjoy running, hiking, camping, and most other outdoor activities.
