Learn More About Our Policy Protocols

Due to an increase in demand for veterinary services, along with COVID-19 protocols that limit our capacity, some of our clients have experienced longer than average wait times for appointments and extended hold times when calling.

Stillwater Veterinary Clinic will be implementing some new policies designed to help alleviate these issues:

  • Routine vaccines will be shifted to our technicians, with the exception of rabies, which the law requires be administered by a doctor. If your pet has had an exam in the past year and has no concerns they will be able to get their vaccines given by one of our technicians and will only be charged for the price of the vaccination(s) they receive. If you have concerns that need to be addressed by a doctor, or your pet is due for their yearly exam, they will need to be scheduled with a doctor and an exam fee will apply. Puppy booster vaccines requiring a doctor will have a reduced exam fee.

  • Drop off appointments to increase our same day appointment capacity. For these appointments, you will drop your pet off with us and the doctor will see them as time allows then contact you with their findings.

  • New phone prompt system. One of the biggest changes to the system is a prompt that diverts all medication refill requests to a voicemail system. We ask that you allow 24 hours for all prescription refills. If you are out of medication and need a faster refill for your pet, we will always do our best to accommodate your needs.

We recognize that many of you are anxious for us to reopen our lobby and we share in your frustration over not being able to have our appointments in person. At this time, contact tracing and additional cleaning requirements for us to allow clients in the building would decrease the volume of patients we can see. We’ve chosen to remain with the curbside model until November 1st when we will reevaluate.

As a team, we would like to thank all of you for your kindness, patience and continued patronage. We appreciate all of you who have been supportive of our clinic and our staff, especially those of you who have reached out with concerns and/or ideas to help us improve our service.
