Annual Wellness Examination
Yearly examinations help keep your pet healthy,
that's why we recommend an annual physical exam for your pets 2 years
and older.
The information we gather at each exam becomes part
of your pet's medical history and be critical if an emergency or sudden
illness arises.
Remember to bring a stool sample to your appointment.
Parasites can be present without being noticed. The stool exam and
nail trim are included in the price of the Wellness Exam:
-
Weight loss or gain can be an early warning sign
of disease. We will assess your pet's diet and nutritional
needs.
-
Rectal abnormalities and stool sample for
intestinal parasites.
-
Legs, joints, hips and spine assessment.
-
Hair and coat. Dull, dry brittle hair or
hair loss may indicate an illness. We check for skin infections or
signs of fleas, ticks or mites.
-
Palpate the abdomen for abnormal masses or pain.
-
Listen to the chest for heart murmurs, irregular
heartbeat, and abnormal lung sounds.
-
Examine the eyes for cataracts or inflammation.
-
Examine ears for mites, infection or
inflammation.
-
Nose and nasal passages for signs of upper
respiratory disease.

many as 95% of all pets 2 years or older have periodontal disease.
We evaluate your pet's teeth and check for tartar, gingivitis, the
